As we approach January 2nd , I’m sure the big question is Arising “Are we going to open”

As of right now the region has suffered High Winds ,Warm Temps and Rain right before this current cold snap. I can even fathom the amount of trees down on our trail system.

National Weather Service is calling for more cold and Snow prior to the weekend. So I’ll say it like this , “If we get the cold “ and “if we get the snow “ the club trail captains and groomer operators will be out clearing the trails and making sure everything is signed properly and trails are safe and clear to ride .

Remember, Safety is the #1 priority!

It was a good season for the most part with great opportunities to ride. Thank you to all the volunteers and landowners for making the trail system possible. See you next year!

Due to the warmup we will be closing the trails tonight at midnight. Please stay off the trails until we post that they are open.

Westfield – Brocton – Busti trails will remain closed .

Ride with Extreme Caution  The trails are down to an icy bace , freezing rain has blanketed the entire county for the last day and a half .

Groomers will be out to try to break up the icy coating that’s on the trails .

Chautauqua lake snowmobile club will be closing the trails tonight at midnight 2-2-25 , we made this decision to protect the base we currently have , it worked well last time , we are hoping that it will work again. We have a meeting at the Snowmobile Club 2-5-25 at 7:30pm. We will be discussing possible grooming during the week if temperatures cooperate . Thank You for your support and understanding, as always these decisions are made with everyone’s best interests in mind .

Please ride with caution  No grooming was done during the shut down. Trails are icy and corners will be slick. Please check the NYSSA map for the trails that are open as some remain closed!

Brocton – Westfield- Busti trails are closed ! The trail between meadows Road and Thumb Road in Dewittville is now closed – do not use – Signs are up.
